| Senior Project Quantity Surveyor Our client is a global consulting firm and is presently seeking to add to their office in Bahrain, Dubai and Qatar. They are looking for an extremely well presented and professional Senior Quantity Surveyor who must be RICS chartered and has at least 5 – 10 years consulting experience within an established practice. International experience is an advantage but by no means necessary. You should have experience of working on pre and post contract projects. The Bahrain office is 40 employees based in some of the best office space in Bahrain and are currently working on the largest construction projects in the region. The cost of living in Bahrain is far less than other areas in the Middle East such as Dubai, and there is a very large expat community on the Island, hence the culture is very westernised. Overall Purpose of the post: Represent the client as a Senior Project Surveyor providing a comprehensive, accurate and value enhanced Cost Management Service to our prestigious clients. The role will provide the opportunity to work in an environment that is currently seeing unprecedented growth in exciting real estate developments that only the Middle East would have the money and the imagination to embark upon. Summary of duties: Managing a team of Project Surveyors. Undertake a leading role delivering any aspect of the QS Cost Management Service within either the Pre Contract or Post Contract stage of a project. To achieve the highest standards of professional competence and to demonstrate this ability in all dealings with clients and professional contacts, reinforcing the profile of the firm. To provide risk, value and procurement advice in a sector specialism environment. To maintain good relationships with clients, take every opportunity to uphold and increase the profile of the firm as a provider of professional, premium quality services to the construction industry Experience: Evidence of working within different sectors is essential with a minimum of at least 5 years post qualification experience. Experience of working with either Middle East Clients or on Middle East projects preferable but not essential. Proven track record of collaborating with leading consultants resulting in successful project delivery. However we will look at candidates with less experience provided this experience to date is sufficiently relevant. Qualifications: MRICS qualified or equivalent.
